The 10th International Meeting on Fully Three-Dimensional Image Reconstruction in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine will be held in Beijing, China in September 5-10, 2009. Topics include:

  • Mathematical and numerical aspects of fully 3D image reconstruction.
  • 3-D and 4-D image reconstruction techniques for PET, SPECT, CT, and MRI.
  • Dynamic (4D) tomographic imaging.
  • Improvement of system performance, by accurate system model in 3D reconstruction, in 3D reconstruction.
  • Optimization of geometry and sampling strategies for 3D acquisition.
  • Assessment of image quality of 3D reconstructed images.

Further a workshop on high performance image reconstruction will be held on 6th September.

The deadline for manuscript submission (IEEE 2-column format, 4-page, in PDF) is April 3, 2009.

Today is the grand opening of this new blog with the focus on medical image processing. So why another blog? The field of medical imaging is wide and diverse and one cannot cover all topics. This site aims to be a collection of everyday information coming across ones mind and problems that need to be solved. The topics will range from 3-D image reconstruction, segmentation. paper & book discussions, hardware acceleration, software libraries and programming tips.  So don’t let us spend to much words on what we are going to do … let’s just start off doing it!
